Disease Carriers
Diseases known to be transmitted by ticks include Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Colorado tick fever, and babesiosis to name a few.
Lyme Disease Carriers
If left untreated, Lyme disease may spread throughout the body, and victims may experience lesions, Bell’s palsy, irregular heartbeat, and more.
Potential Harm to Pets
Dogs and cats can get Lyme disease, and they can also carry infected ticks into homes or yards, where they can then bite humans.

FAQ about Ticks
Ticks don’t like sunlight, and can be found in heavy, thick leaf litter, thick ground cover around the home’s perimeter and protected areas such as fallen logs, firewood piles, and rock piles.
Ticks may lay their eggs indoors or outdoors, wherever they feel the area is warm, safe, and soft.
A tick bite will appear to be red and swollen and can feel hot to the touch. You may also develop a bull’s eye pattern or dotted red patches all over your skin.
Ticks can give Lyme disease to your pets, and while your pets can’t give you their Lyme disease, they may help spread ticks throughout the home.
